The word “Ephpheta”. Where does this come from?
In the Gospel of Mark chapter 7, verse 34, when Jesus meets the deaf man, Jesus says the word “Ephpheta”.
In the time of Jesus, Jesus spoke in the Aramaeic language.
The word “Ephpheta” means “be open”.
It means to be open to the Holy Spirit and to the Word of God.
Be open to each other, opening our minds and hearts, to all people irrespective of their religion.
At Ephpheta, we provide services of all deaf and hard of hearing people, regardless of their religion.
